The Dollar and The Penny: The Currency of Class

Setting: On the steps of an important building in Washington D.C., a dollar bill and a cluster of pennies lie, the dollar stuck to a piece of chewing gum. They are partially hidden from view, but they watch as men in expensive suits climb the steps while homeless men sit along the street below. One of the pennies has been watching for days, observing both as they came and went. The curious penny finally perks up and asks the intimidating dollar a simple question to the shock of the other pennies, who were too scared to speak.
